According to a January 2001 survey sponsored by the Florida Hospital Association on Nursing Opinions on Solving the Nursing Shortage, RNs need "flexible educational programs for advanced degrees, and improved access for associate and diploma nurses to obtain a BSN degree."
Jacksonville University has designed this program to offer RNs an opportunity to complete their baccalaureate education while managing work and family responsibilities. The program, which is offered through the School of Nursing, was designed by both nursing educators and nursing service administrators, resulting in a curriculum that blends a strong academic science base with extensive clinical instruction.
